Thank you AussieBob, for your response. I tried to look for any repairs where you suggested and with a magnifying glass can't recognize if it has been tampered with. The coin is not in pristine condition as it has been in circulation. When you say interesting, you mean.....????
The opinions I got were based on the photographs and I'm still toying with the idea that I have to physically take or send it to someone to actually look at.
I spoke to Louis Chevrier, of Lower Canada Auctions who told me I could mail it to him with a fee and get his opinion. Frankly, this is a lot cheaper than me having to fly to Toronto to the coin show just to be told it's not authentic.
