Re: The Upper Canadian Antique Showcase Magazine Review: "TOREX Show Worth the Money" by John Norris

Between 1993 & 2000 I was the assistant manager of Torex working with my mother, Ingrid.

In May 2000 Ingrid retired and I acquired the show at that time. I have been the Executive Director/Owner of Torex ever since then (14 years).

My first show as owner was June 2000 and the show was at the Primrose Hotel. I later moved the show to the Novotel Hotel on the Esplande for 3 years, and then to the Radisson Admiral Hotel on Queen's Quay for another 3 years. In 2007 I moved the show to the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel where it ran for another 5 successful years. In February 2013 I moved the show back to downtown Toronto, it's historical location, to debut at the Hyatt Regency on King where it will be for the very long foreseeable future.

The Smith family has owned and operated Torex for almost 30 years.
