2004 is the 42nd Year of Torex®, Canada's longest running and most popular collectors' show (since 1962) held three times annually in downtown Toronto.
The much-awaited two-day Fall Torex® Coin Show will open to the general public at 10am on Saturday, October 30, 2004 and continues through Sunday October 31, 2004 at the Novotel Toronto - Centre in the St. Lawrence Market district of historic Old Town Toronto. The October 2004 auction will will be conducted in three sessions, beginning on Thursday 28 October.
The Torex® Coin Show plays host to over 40 of Canada's finest coin dealers in Canadian, ancient and foreign coins, paper money, militaria, reference books & hobby supplies. Torex® is the best place buy, sell, & trade your coins, ask questions relating to numismatics, join a coin club, and meet other budding numismatic enthusiasts. There will be thousands of interesting coins on display and for sale.
Michael Walsh, is the official October 2004 Torex® Auctioneer. The Auction features over 2,200 lots of Canadian and Newfoundland coins, banknotes, and tokens.
A major Canadian coin certification service, I.C.C.S., (International Coin Certification Service) will have a table at the show manned by Brian Cornwell. Anyone with an interest in having their coins certified or who simply wish to get a better idea of what such a service offers, is encouraged to do so anytime during regular Torex® show hours.
Torex's venue: The Novotel Toronto - Centre is very easy to get to via Rail & Transit, being only two blocks east from Toronto's Union Station (Central Train Station). Drivers will discover plenty of public parking for hundreds of cars conveniently located adjacent to the venue.
